RegSeeker reboot

I'm using a new Win XP (home) and a new HP 6980 Deskjet printer.
Using RegSeeker (latest v. 1.45 build 0505) and the latest HP 6900 series
v. 60.053.243.00 program.
After running the RegSeeker (reg cleaner) program I am having trouble
re-booting. A message box pops up and gives the following info's.......
"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk
that is not available." Insert the 'TrayApp' disk and click OK.
Other info's: Error: 1706 - No valid source could be found for product
TrayApp.
The Windows Installer cannot continue.
'TrayApp.cab' and 'TrayApp.msi' 1.21 mb, 2 files, 0 folders.
Type: Windows Installer Package. Date modified: 9/23/2005 412 kb.
Opens with: Windows Installer Package.

When I insert the HP 6980 installation CD, it installs the 'TrayApp'
file and the
re-boot continues to finish. The RegSeeker has finished its run
completely and the selected unwanted files are placed in a backup
folder. Then trying to re-boot is when I get the error/install box.
I don't know what is causing the problem but would like to know how to
fix it if

really a RegSeeker question. It is removing something that it shouldn't.

If doing a "fix all" option on RegSeeker, change your method of running
that program. Instead, let it examine the system. Then check the
recommendations of removals one by one. If lucky, trayapp will be clearly
listed and you can exclude it. If not so lucky, you'll need to do some
research to find out which suggested item is repeatedly breaking trayapp.
When found, exclude it from RegSeeker's system checks.

I've never used RegSeeker. The above advice is based on several other
cleaner apps that I've used in the past (don't use any with XP). I am only
guessing that RegSeeker has similar options and will allow a manual scan
and removal. Check the help file or with their tech support for more info
is needed.

Thanks for your reply. You have the problem right. I can't find any
RegSeeker scan results listed for TrapApp, but it happens every time.
Your comment about reg cleaners in the past (don't use any with XP)...
If I don't really need to use RegSeeker or any other cleaner, I'll just
quit using it. I might be better off not tinkering with the registry at
all. To exclude an item in RegSeeker, I would have to edit the registry
manually and that might cause me more problems than its worth.

Cleaning the registry back then could have been considered required Windows
housekeeping.

Have seen very little performance improvement with general registry
cleaning and XP so don't bother with it. My current XP installation was
recently "repaired" (repair install -Windows over Windows) to accommodate
new hardware (motherboard, processor, sound, video, network - all
different) but for the most part it is quite a few years old. It continues
to run very nicely and efficiently.
