What is PhotoGallery and why does it keep trying to install?

What the heck is PhotoGallery? What program does it belong to and why does
Windows Installer try to install it when I reboot?

Here is what happens:
After rebooting I get a pop up install window that says
Wait while Windows configures Photo Gallery [The Install window shows
progress]

After a while there is a "PhotoGallery" window that says "The Feature you
are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not
available. Insert the PhotoGallery disk and click OK" In that source window
is the number 1. I have tried to put FrontPage and HP Printer CD in but it
does not accept those.

When I cancel there is a PhotoGallery window that says "Error 1706. No valid
source could be found for product PhotoGallery. The Windows Installer
cannot continue." Even after cancelling all pop up windows it continues to
try to install.

Photo Gallery is connected with your HP printer. The way to deal with
this is to either:

1) Put the HP printer cd in the drive and browse to the folder that
contains the Photo Gallery files. I'm sorry, but I don't know exactly
where that is since I don't have an HP printer with Photo Gallery. You
could check on HP's tech support site for your specific printer to get
that information.

2) Or if you don't ever want to use Photo Gallery, use the Windows
Installer Cleanup Utility to remove the Photo Gallery entry.

The pop up of the Windows Installer for Photo Gallery most likely happens
because a program that was recently installed replaced a file with an
unknown version to the Photo Gallery installer.

To stop this, just put in the disk and it will do it's thing and go away.

Or you could try the Windows Installer cleanup utility to remove the Photo
Gallery entry from the registry. However, I recommend against this if you
may want to uninstall in the future.

::Is this due to \"Photo Gallery issue or something else??::
::How can I fix it??::
Hi..I am having an issue with Photo Gallery...just loaded the HP 6450
All In One printer and have been having problems ever since. I did use
the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove the Photo Gallery entry.
But now, whenever I try to Load "HP Image Zone" I get the followwing
error:
-“Could not find a part of the path: --:: ::-
-::“C:\Program Files\Digital Imaging\Bin\Skins\hp1/hp1-skindet.xml” ::-

Did the HP All-In-One install Windows Photo Gallery? Older HP All-In-Ones
used to install HP Photosmart Premier.

I have file path: 'C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin', but no 'Skins'
folder. However, as I said, this HP All-In-One installed, 'HP Photosmart
Premier'.

P.S. Drop that nasty 'vBulletin USENET gateway'. It doesn't work right, and
is hard to read.
