PhotoGallery Error 1703

Every time I log onto my notebook I get the following message; 'Please wait
while Windows configures PhotoGallery'. If I don't cancel the message I end
up with a window that states this is error 1703. I'm running Windows XP
Professional. Has anyone had this same error? More importantly does anyone
know how to fix it?

Thanks!!!

The fix I have seen work for your error is a registry modification.

Add an AllowLockdownMedia DWORD value to the following registry key and set
its value data to 1.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor: 1. Click Start, click
Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type AllowLockdownMedia, and then press ENTER.
5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
6. Type 1, and then click OK.
