You said, "some of your opinions". In mine, most of them will cause more
problems than they will ever solve. To configure them to not cause problems,
you would have to know enough about the registry that you wouldn't need the
program in the first place. I say, leave them alone.

You already have a safe and reliable registry cleaning tool. It's between
your ears. Use it wisely and your computer will purr like a kitten.

The Windows registry is the guts of your operating system. You don't want to
let third party software mess with it. Spend the time it takes to learn
about the registry and you'll come to understand what those of us with
well-functioning systems understand: The registry is best left alone, unless
you have a specific issue for which there is a specific registry-based
solution.

The best registry editing software is little more than a well-constructed
interface that makes it convenient to find what you need inside the
registry. The rest are toys that give you the illusion that you're doing
something vital for your computer.

These newsgroups are littered with posters who have done unrecoverable
damage to their registry. Don't be one of them.

Absolutely a ridiculous response. By running a registry cleaner a user can
speed up his system considerably. If you fear editing the registry or cleaning
it, keep it to yourself. Why put your fears onto others?

I'll throw out the same challange that I throw out every time someone claims
that "by running a registry cleaner a user can speed up his system
considerably". Post your results.
