Registry Space

When I log onto the computer I get a message of

Windows-Low Registry Space
Your Maximum registry size is too small. To ensure that
windows runs propery increase your maximum registry size.

I've gone on the screen to change the registry size, but I
still get the message all the time. It also pops up while
I'm working on the computer. How can I correct the problem?
