maximum registry size is too small

i am getting error,when i resume to windows2000.the error
is "your maximum registry size is too small. to ensure
that windows runs properly,increase your maximum register
size" . what is the procedure to increase the register
size. will i get any problem, when increasing the register
size & how to face that. if any one knows pls answer.
