registry help needed

Have a problem which is registry related. A backup REG file from
CCleaner will not install, gives the following message:

Cannot import c:\bla-bla-bla\cc_20090427.reg; Not all data was
successfully written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system
or other processes.

Is there any way to FORCE this reg to install?

I recommend you try the CCleaner FAQ pages. Perhaps running the program in
Safe Mode will fix the problem.

not let me install the REG entries. I think either Shockwave or Flash
entries are locking the registry (safe mode too) and will not let me
change them. Any other suggestions?

Go to CCleaner's support

Some keys have embedded nulls making them difficult to change

If you also right-click & EDIT that registry file you can see the keys then
you can also manually check the permisssions on those keys using the
registry editor

Have not read CC's FAQ's but did try safe mode ... same message. Will
