Red X

I am using XP and recently many of the pictures which
should be shown have not picture and a red X in the upper
LH corner. How did this happen and what can I do to
correct this problem?

Empty the Temporary Internet Files folder. In IE, go to Tools>Internet
Options...>General tab. In the section under your homepage address, locate
and click on "Delete Files..." button. Hope this fixes it.

Thanks this worked, but I do not know what else I deleted
since this file is old. Any ideas what caused the
problem?
