OE Red X for picture

HI
I have been tying to send pictures by e-mail. I use insert picture, but all is shown is a red x in a
square. What am I doing wrong?
Win XP Home, OE, using (JPG) for the pictures.

In the main window of Outlook Express, click the Tools menu, click Options, click the Send
tab, under the subheading of Mail Sending Format click the HTML Settings button and make
sure that the box to the left of Send Pictures With Messages has a checkmark in it. If
not, click that box with your left mouse button to put the checkmark there, click the OK
button in that HTML Settings window, then click the APPLY and OK buttons in the remaining
window. Close Outlook Express, and restart your system for the new settings to take
effect.
