Recover files from a password protected user folder

My daughter's computer crashed with an unrecoverable Windows XP registry. I
installed a second hard drive and reloaded Windows XP onto the new drive
inorder to salvage files on the original drive. The directories are viewable
however my daughter had a password protected user account and I cannot access
the "My documents" folder to get important files. My access is denied and I
cannot use her password since I have a newly installed Windows running. Any
suggestions to work around the corrupted Windows drive?

Hi,

I'm not sure but deleting and then recovering the files might help. To
restore them, powerful data recovery tool is needed. I've used Undelete
to resotre files which were erased, and it never failed nor corrupted
files. The trick might help, you can try it out.
