Recent Upgrade to 2000 Dual Display gone

I recently upgraded my laptop from win98 to win2000 and my option to
use dual display is gone. I know exactly where to look in the
properties but the option is no longer there.

Is there some setting I need to change to get it to appear again?
Do I need to download some drivers or something?

I am at a loss and I really need this to work this week. I would
appreciate any help or suggestions.

Download and install the newest video drivers for Win2K (or XP) from
either the maker of
your video adapter or the maker of the chipset it's based on.

I have tried that and the only place I could find the video driver did
not work. The error message is that win2000 does not support this
driver. The laptop is an HP N3150. If anyone could help me find the
right driver I would be very appreciative.

HP and other manufacturers often build machines tailored to the OS with
which they will be delivered. In this sense they are not generic
machines using commonly available parts. There is a good chance that if
HP will not provide a W2k driver for your laptop video setup, you won't
find it anywhere. HP has no interest in prolonging the life of your old
laptop - they'd much rather you buy a new one.

If HP turns you down, your last resort is probably www.drivers.com.
