Receipents ddo not receive email attachments

Many of my receipents complain that they do not receive the attachments I attach. I have also tried to put the actual picture in the content of the email & they still dont get it.
Has anyone had a similar problem - I am assuming that the receipents do not use Outlook

make sure you use plain text or html, not RTF formatting.
