Problem using bcc

I am currently using Outlook 2007 and am trying to send an email to a group
of people using bcc. However, when I do, the receipents get the email and
they can see every person's email address in the "To" line. If I go to my
Sent folder to look at the email I sent, the "To" line is blank and the "bcc"
does not show, so there is no way to see who the email went to.

Why can the receipents see the email addresses when I specifically used bcc?
Kind of defeats the purpose!

add the CC and BCC fields to the Sent folder view so you can see which field
you used.

If the BCC line does not show in your Sent Items folder then you have NOT
sent the email using BCC.
Describe how you are setting up the email prior to sending.

Could you share how to do this? I can see those I cc already.

Also, why would it show to receipents when I put the addresses under bcc?

Okay, just found how to view bcc. I had to double click on the message to
open it up to view the email addresses in the bcc line. One of those in this
email replied to me and when she did, I could see the original email I sent
in the body of hers and all the names were listed in the "To" section. Yet
in my sent folder, they are under bcc.

you used.

And when you OPEN that message, after you've sent it, the BCC field is not
showing? Have you enabled the BCC field?

If I doublclick the message in my Sent folder to open it in a separate
window, I can see the bcc line with all the addresses listed. However, when
someone replies to my email, I can see my original message with all the email
addresses listed within the body of their email.

Were the names in the To included in the BCC field? If you To/Cc and BCC,
the BCC's will see the to/cc addresses.

If they were all BCC'd, does this happen with all BCC'd mail? The admin may
be running an event sink on the SMTP that changes the envelope information
and this will expose the BCC addresses.
