Reaplced a file on my XP and need it back

I accidently replaced a file from my server to my computer, however this file
that i replaced my old file with what was a bad file (older version). How can
i recover my replaced file on my computer?........Help please

How about a backup copy somewhere or finding it in the recycle bin (if it was
sent there). Is it a system file? Or document like Word or Excel?

If it's a system file then using system restore might get it back. If it's
a document then it's gone unless you have a backup copy.

its a folder that i saved off the c: drive. i accidently replaced it with an
older version from the server. I check the recycle bin. Any ideas?
