Re-Install Search Companion?

Is there a way to re-install Search Companion? Apparently some registry keys
were deleted on my PC and now when I start any search I see a blank window
with no options, buttons or anything. When I click along the top menu, the
edit command will not present a drop-down list either.

Can I re-install just the search companion without having to re-install all
of Win-XP?

Hi

Try a System Restore back to a point before the problem started.

Thanks but no, none of those suggestions worked. I know the original
issue
lies in the fact that registry keys were omitted. But how can I restore
them
without re-installing all of Win-XP all over again?

Actually that's a great idea except for one small "snag" in that I'm not sure
exactly when the registry was modified since I don't always use the search
features. And since I've done other changes, installed new things, etc., I'm
sure it's going to screw-up other modifications I've made too.

It looks like there's no easy answer for me. What's the lesser of 2 evils
here?

Thanks anyway...
