RDC blocked VPN not blocked

At a hotel(see post earlier this week), we were able to VPN to our main
office, but not establish the RDC. We had never had a problem before
and had changed no settings on our laptop. We went to another location,
and everything worked fine.

How could we have determined that the hotel was blocking the port(if
applicable) the RDC needed to use? For instance, a telnet command or
something from a command prompt?

Hi,

as you suggest you could have tried to telnet the remote host on port 3389
from cmd to check if you where able to connect...
