Random restart problems

Problem has just started over the last week or so. When I
try to open IRC using Excursion programme my PC shuts
down and restarts. I then get an error message say
Windows has recovered from serious internal problem and
the following reports:

Error signature ; BC Code:1000007f BCP1: 00000008
BCP2: 80042000

BCP3: 00000000 BCP4: 00000000 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP: 0_0
Product: 256_1



Error Report Contents :

c:\Windows\Minidump\Mini072604-01.dmp

C:\Docume~1\Colin~1Col\Locals~1\Temp\WER13.tmp.dir00
\sysdata.xml



Please can anyone help!!
