i couldn't decide where to put this comment so i just put it in the general
newsgroup. anyway, whenever i try to open quicktime or itunes the program
starts but then automatically closes. with anything related to quicktime or
itunes, even properties or help or settings, this happens. it only started
happening recently. does anyone else have this problem? and also i would like
to know how to start windows xp in safe mode, the troubleshooter is for an
earlier version or something.

thanks for any help.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling Quicktime. Get the latest version from
www.apple.com.

To get into Safe Mode, repeatedly tap the F8 key as the computer is
starting up. This will get you to the right menu. Navigate with your
arrow key to Safe Mode and hit the Enter key to start it.

You need to quote the text of the message to which you reply. Otherwise
