Hello anybody!
When I attempt to load I-tunes and Quicktime (which of course are
conveniently required together for my (NEW JUST BOUGHT FOR CHRISTMAS) nano
ipod to bloody work properly, near the completion of the download a screen
appears and I get some nonsense on the screen as follow :
"Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\QuickTimePlayerLib.QuickTimePlayerApp\CLSID.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support
personnel."
After I press the ok button (as I have no choice) the download rolls back
and loading cancels. Wonderful these machines.
Ok , before anyone tells me that this is an apple issue, I have already been
to the their website and checked out postings from other people experiencing
the same nonsense that I am. Those people are talking about going into the
registry and deleting this and deleting that which if I am not mistaken can
make quite a mess of the computer as well as locking things up . Well...I am
not that advanced let alone brave enough to dwell into that area of computers
..
If there are any suggestions other than what I noted at the Apple site to
enable me to continue the loading procedure of Quicktime, it would be
appreciated.
Thanks Stephen
