To rip and convert DVD to iPod and other Apple devices, Aunsoft DVD ripper and iMedia Converter for Mac are good choices. You can freely convert DVD discs or files to HD 1080p/H.264 mp4/mov for playback on these devices. They have versions both for Mac and Windows users.
