Question re Canon i450

Just bought a Canon i450. At $ 49.99, the price was cheap enough.

After I finish a print job, one page or more, the printer keeps softly
"clucking" away for another minute or so. The clucking noises occur
regularly every 5 seconds. It sound almost as if the printer is looking for
more work and can't find it. This is quite annoying.

Since there are quite a few i450's around, could someone tell me if these
clucking noises at the end of a print job are normal?

Thanks

Me too.

Mine does the same thing, except that after a while it gets
tired of clucking and goes through a whole series of moves,
whiring, recycling, and who knows what else, the main
purpose of which appears to be to move the print head over
to the far right and park it.

Also, after I power up the printer and send it something to
print, the first page starts printing only after a long
series of these reseting/recycling moves and noises. I
don't mind if it does that, so long as it's not doing
anything that uses up ink.
