Time it takes for Canon printer to "wake up"

I have the Canon i860, and have the Auto Power feature enabled at 60
minutes. The printer had been "asleep" for the past two days when I wanted
to print something. I started the print job, and the printer made a bunch
of soft noises, lasting for about a minute. Then the printing started. Is
it natural for the printer to take so long to "wake up?" In my case this
was about a minute.

Yep. Every now and then it makes a cleaning cycle. It's normal.

Takes about four minutes with mine, keeps making seeking sounds then
prints.
