Hi,

Thank you for the post.

As I know, if you remove the Novell client software on the workstation,
your user account created on the Novell server will not be affected.

Since this issue is related to Novell that is manufactured by a company
independent of us, our suggestions on Novell issues are limited. I suggest
also consulting this issue in the Novell forum for the most accurate answer:

Basically, what we are doing is as follows: I have two clients, one running
xp sp2 and another running w2k, both have novell client software loaded on
them. They never loggon to the novell server as they always logged on
locally to their machine using the novell client. Dont ask why cause I have
never really got an answer to it. Anyway, I have shutdown the Novell server
now. The question is by using the novell client for logon to the local
machine was there a local profile created, i suspect so and if so if I
remove the client and just have them use the microsoft client like normal
will they loose that profile and its settings. If so how do save their
setting to reimport them to the new profile that will be created. Sorry for
the long explanation.
Thanks in advance for any advice, regards
