I thought I'd start a new thread as that other one is getting long.

As I posted, McAfee didn't find anything so I am now running Kasp. Assume it
finds nothing, should I run Sophos or go to Safe Mode and run Mcafee and
Kasp. again??

Also, I'm not sure how to run the programs in Safe Mode.
I even looked at the .PDF file of instructions but I am confused.

I assume I can reboot into the DOS command prompt. I assume I can go into
av-cls.

I assume then that if I run KAVCLEAN.bat that would run Kasp.??

What does DOSCLEAN.bat do??

Do I then go into the Mcafee sub-folder of av-cls and run scan.exe?

IS THERE SOME POINT WHERE I CAN ASSUME THAT I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM (ie:
false positive or I got it in time)? The 0 bytes in trying to email the file
is unnerving.

I guess you just answered my last question below in that lengthy thread.

So, I'll await Kasp. results. If it is okay, then I'll drop the matter
completely.

BTW, I DID the suggested upgrades (well, I actually got rid of winamp and
Real Player as I just don't use it). I did find that the new Adobe version
works better than the one I had (the previous one).

All the information is in the included PDF Help File. Plaese re-read it.

The three BAT file are for provided for special puposes. In your case you should be running
the scanners through the Main Menu.
