QIC files

I recently upgraded from Windows 95 and the version of Word that came with it to a new computer, Windows XP and Office 2000. I used a backup and restore utility on the old system to dump "MY Documents" to a floppy. After loading them to the new computer they show as a QIC file and Word 2000 displays them as garbage. How can I convert QIC to something Word 200 understands?

Hi Mel,

The QIC extension is used by the Microsoft backup utility. The

WinXP and some of the things you can do to try to recover them:
