Restore .qic data from WIN98

Can data backed-up from the back-up utility in Windows 98 (***.qic) be
backed-up in XP??
I had a HD crash that was running 98 but had the c:\ backed-up. The data is
locked up in a .qic file and I cannot find a XP utility to restore the
data...

Do you mean can it be *restored* in XP?

Windows XP has no ability to read Windows 98's backup files. However the third-party product "Backup My PC" reputedly can do this, although I have no personal experience with it.
