PST crash but now unrecoverable with scanpst

Hello,
Recently a user's PST became corupt. Tried running scanpst
on the pst file. did it several times, saving each
recovered pst under a new file name. I lost up to 3 weeks,
which is not bad. The user is currently using two
recovered pst files. They are almost identical, one of the
pst files returns error messages when trying to copy over,
merge or import into the other pst file. "The Operation
Store Could Not be Opened" and "Can't move the item. Could
not complete the operation. One or more parameter values
are not valid". So, I'm stuck using two pst files and
still missing three weeks.

After trying to compact the recovered pst file. The size
went from 1.6 down to 40meg. This is with only three weeks
missing? I asume, the recovered pst file lost some header
info, or other parts of the message info. I can still open
the messages and send them, but just can't move or save
them to the other PST or new PST file.

System:
Vaio R505 Notebook
Win XP
Office XP
P 1.2g
PST file size = 1.7g

My question is: Are there other methods to restoring
corupt PST files and/or is there anything else I can try
to do to recover those missing messages.

You pretty much hosed yourself trying to use the inbox repair tool - it
should never be used on a .pst file of that size.

Try this instead:
