Program Error

I have three XP computers running a program two of which run the program
fine. The third computer however when I try and start the application I am
getting an error "Process performance counter is disabled, so the request
operation cannot be preformed". When I searched for the error in Microsoft it
states the doc has been removed.

Anyone have any suggestions? What up with this performance counter?????

Open event viewer,scroll to the event/warning of the error,open,click on the
url,this opens kb help/support in xp,usually with a fix...
