?Program Conflict using Yahoo Messenger & pogo

Symptom: Java applets fail. Operating system-XP home/ IE6 is browser. Yahoo
Messenger and pogo games functioning well then after several hours, games
will not open. Java removed and reinstalled/verified. cache emptied. yahoo
messenger removed then reinstalled without yahoo firewall. After rebooting,
java applets functioning-games functioning.
I have turned off firewall, lowered security settings to med-low. I cannot
identify what the issue is each time. Both programs ok for short intervals.
Does the use of messenger programs, both MS messenger 7.5 and yahoo interfere
with applets?

Hi abc1954,

I haven't had any problems using MS Messenger and playing at
online gamesites, so the problem *might* be with the version of
Yahoo Messenger you're installing.

Another good troubleshooting step to add to the ones you've
already documented in your post would be to reinstall all but the
Yahoo Messenger to see if your Pogo games remain stable longer.
