"Professional" on the Boot-up Screen

It seems Microsoft had changed the splash screen/boot-up screen from saying
"Professional" to just plain "I can't tell if it's the Home or Professional
Edition" Microsoft Windows XP boot-up screen. It seems it may have changed
with the SP2 upgrade to Windows XP Professional. Why? Overlooked? Will
they add it in a future update? Should I use a resource hacker and
manipulate the boot-up screen and ntoskrnl.exe or should I just wait on
Microsoft to release an update to include "Professional" in the boot-up
screen?

Don't worry, it was removed by MS with SP2, you still have what your OS is.

STFW. This is an FAQ and you posting it just proves you're too damned lazy
to do any research.

I never said I am worried. Don't you think that if I can hack into the
ntoskrnl.exe file and change it to whatever I want, that I would know if my
OS is Professional or not. Thanks anyway. LOL!

STFU. Excuse me! The one place I didn't look. Simply because I didn't
think a simple FAQ would suggest to hack your ntoskrnl.exe file. You'd think
you'd post the URL for me anyhow. Take a Prozac or something. This
community is to help people not to criticize.

Done intentionally with SP2 to create a more uniform look across the various
iterations of the XP platform. AFAIK, there are no plans to revert back to
the previous format.

Does it REALLY matter? So long as the OS is XP Pro SP2 with all of it's
benefits, surely that's the vital factor?

Don't take it personally. Ms Tick is an equal opportunity insulter and

No it don't, obviously. By no means was I questioning the operation,
stability, or implying that there was a problem. I was just wondering why
they did it. I pay great attention to detail and want answers for things I
don't know.

The primary reason was to simplify and save costs in the testing.

I can tell you knowing this now is helpful for me since I own a Computer
Repair shop. I can IMMEDIATELY determine whether or not the PC running XP
has been upgraded to SP2 or not by viewing the boot-up/splash screen.

Yes it has. To avoid having to maintain four different versions of the
code file it is embedded in (Home, Pro, Tablet and Media Center)
