Problem's with WMV

Since I installed Mindows Media Player 11 beta, I have problem's viewing
..WMV's. If I watch them in WMP it encounters a problem and shuts, When
embeded in a webpage, IE shuts the same way and when I try to import one in
Movie Maker, it shuts also the same way. The only way I can watch a .wmv is
using VLC. All other video formats work well with all softwares.

First, I triyed going back to WM 10. Didn't work. Then I did a system
restore. Did not work either. And finaly, I got it!!!!

My problem was caused by another program called ffdshow.exe . I went into
the event log: start/control panel/performance and maintenance/admin
tools/event log/programs. There, I located the error with the right date and
time and it said that it shut down because of a problem with ffdshow.ax . I
searched for the file on My computer and found out it was part of "program
files/ffdshow" so I went back to add/remove programs and uninstalled ffdshow.
It all went back to normal after that.
