Problems with silent musicfiles!

i have recently used the Windows Media Player to add songs from my cd:s to my hard drive. But after that, when I want to listen to the songs they are silent. I can see the equalizer bars moving (I'm using Winamp) but there's no sound. When I try my other music files that I have downloaded from the internet, they work fine.

What's the problem and how do I solve it? Please don't tell me that this doesn't work - it seems like a great idea to load my entire cd-collection into the computer and put it on Shuffle...

Did you extract them as MP# (better) or WMA files (worse).

Trying getting a newer WinAmp (http://www.winamp.com/player/) or play
them in Windows Media player.
