Problems with DEP

I'm having problems with DEp. My PC is not X64, but simple X32. I'm usinfg
Wndows XP Professional. Some applications and Windows tools are giving me
issues with DEP.

- I can open MMC, but when I open some consoles, like gpedit.msc, I receive
the DEP message telling me that windows closes the program to help protect my
system. And then appears the clasical Windows Error windo tellin me the an
error happened whrn executing "mmc.exe".

- Same happens when triying to open a .chm, MIcrosft HTML Help Executable.

This issue doesn't appear when entering windows in safe mode. Don't know if
it is becouse DEP doesent execute in safe mode or becouse the program,
library or process that causes conflict doesn't load.

Any help, please?

Hello !
I am not so good at dealing with DEP issues but is this permanent statement
(does it exists since you first installed Windows ) . What happened between
the time you had no problems and now . If you suspect this happens because of
recently installed or changed program/settings , use System Restore to
restore to a good state
Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore
and follow the instructions .

If this doesn't solve the problem , I hope somebody else can help !
