OS: XP Pro, SP2. I can navigate to a folder like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
.....and see, right before my eyes, my OE address book. For reasons I won't
clutter this message with, I need to locate the wab file used by Outlook.
So, in Explorer, I hit CTRL-F, tell the thing to search the entire disk, and
for the file name, I try:
*.wab
..wab
wab
It finds nothing, even though I can locate OE's wab file by browsing
manually. So, just for grins, I do something non-intuitive and narrow the
"where" thing down to the actual folder shown above, where the file resides.
Again, the search function finds nothing. The file is NOT read-only or
hidden, and I am logged into the profile whose folders I'm searching.
Why?
