problem with security update

I was recently told that i needed to install the "August
2002 Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer (Q323759)
Update" so I downloaded it and it wont install because it
tells me that I need to have IE 6 installed but it
already is and that is the version I am currently using,
what should I do?
