Hi

Using WindowsXP and Internet Explorer aswell as Outlook Express ver6.0. Had
SP1 installed, downloaded and installed a "patch" to fix problem. Did not
work.I was told to install SP2 to resolve issue. Did not work.

Problem description: Not able to print from IE or OE. Print Preview not
available. No error messages. Clicking on print or selecting print from file
menu does nothing.

Ideas? Suggestions??

Many thanks

Has anyone got a solution for this as I have exactly the same problem.
I have tried all the links posted earlier with no success.
Nothing prints from explorer or Outlook except, strangely enough, macromedia
items which print as normal.
This problem just happened, no new software or hardware added.
Tried all explorer updates etc.
Thanks in advance for any help

Hi John :)

Try the following and see if it helps"

Print Preview Is Blank and You Cannot Print Pages from Internet Explorer

Try, in order:

1. (Re-)Installing 5.6 Scripting Engine from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d..list/webdev.asp

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

(WinXP users who have problems with 2a and 2b, see
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm)

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

4a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

4b. Find the hijacker that caused 4a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box". But even then, they can't catch
everything. When all else fails, HijackThis
(http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**

Jan Il
thanks for the help
The first one is not relevant as print preview doesn't appear at all.
I will try the rest though.
Fingers crossed !!

None of the suggestions worked so i have transferred to firefox and outlook
and can print from both.
Any other ideas would be welcome as I would prefer to out explorer and
outlook express if possible

Thanks
