Problem with Java setting in XP

Hi,
I have posted this problem in matlab software newsgroup without answer.
I hope someone here can help me.

I cannot use 'BERTOOL'(which is function with Communication tool from
Matlab), anymore because the error:

??? Error: File: bertool.m Line: 11 Column: 8
Arguments to IMPORT must either end with ".*"
or else specify a fully qualified class name:
"com.mathworks.toolbox.comm.BERTool" fails this test.

The above call uses a Java class. It should relate to Java issues.

But, I find if I logon using another user's account. BERTOOL works! It
seems some system configuration in my account is wrong. My PC is a
Windows XP. I have checked Java settings in Control Panel and cannot
find anything wrong.

Could you suggest me something about Java setting in the system?

Maybe - If it's Sun Java, then each user/profile has a localized
application settings folder at:
\Documents & Settings\'Username'\Application Data\Sun

I would delete that folder from your profile, re-logon then use
the Java applet in Control Panel using the "Delete Files" and
then retry your application.

Hello,
I don't understand "then use
the Java applet in Control Panel using the "Delete Files" and
then retry your application. "

Could you exlain the above sentence to me?

Thank you very much

Click Start, Control Panel, Double-Click the "Java" Icon. Applet
is generally a small, limited feature set type of program. When the
Java control opens, you'll see the "Delete Files" button near the
bottom-right corner. Also, by default Control Panel appears in a
category view that makes finding certain Applet harder. When you
open Control Panel click the "Switch to Classic View" to see all
the available applets.

I have two computers whose Java contents are displayed different, and
different with your description. Perhaps the display is not important.
In the problem computer, there is a delete files button in the
dialogbox: Parameters of temporary files (for Internet temporary files
frame). That is, after I enter Parameter of temporary files fox, there
is a "delete files" button.

Do you mean that?

I have deleted those files. The problem is still there. What I did is
right?

Thank you.
