problem with hijackware removal?

Jerri

Hello, I recently made a mistake of downloading what I
thought was a Microsoft update for spyware prevention. It
went by "System Soap Pro." I realized the mistake before
I installed it but it was already in my computer. I went
to the "Darn-it" site and ran the test for parasites. It
said I had the "Httper" and "Zipclix" parasites and
followed instructions for removal. However, when I ran
Spybot Search & Destroy I found more of it and removed
it. I also received an email thanking me for downloading
System Soap Pro, which I deleted. Now I have checked my
system start-up items and found this: System Item: soap,
Command: C:\PROGRA~1\SYSTEM~1\soap.exe min, Location:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (I
also found an entry with no System Item name.) In my
System Services I saw an entry from GEARSecurity with the
manufacturer by GEAR Software, which I was not aware was
on my computer. Are these O.K. or doeas it look like I
still have leftover problems from the mistake download
of "System Soap Pro"? TIA, Jerri

The best place for help in this matter is
www.spywareinfo.com download their program "hijackthis"
and scan your system then copy the results with note pad
and post it in their forums. When it comes to spyware
these people are the experts.
Good Luck.
