Hello, I recently made a mistake of downloading what I
thought was a Microsoft update for spyware prevention. It
went by "System Soap Pro." I realized the mistake before
I installed it but it was already in my computer. I went
to the "Darn-it" site and ran the test for parasites. It
said I had the "Httper" and "Zipclix" parasites and
followed instructions for removal. However, when I ran
Spybot Search & Destroy I found more of it and removed
it. I also received an email thanking me for downloading
System Soap Pro, which I deleted. Now I have checked my
system start-up items and found this: System Item: soap,
Command: C:\PROGRA~1\SYSTEM~1\soap.exe min, Location:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (I
also found an entry with no System Item name.) In my
System Services I saw an entry from GEARSecurity with the
manufacturer by GEAR Software, which I was not aware was
on my computer. Are these O.K. or doeas it look like I
still have leftover problems from the mistake download
of "System Soap Pro"? TIA, Jerri
