Problem staying logged in anywhere

I'll try to explain my problem as best I can. I updated my IE 6 to
6.0.2900.2180 and I always had service pack 2. Anyways, before this update I
used to be able to be permanently looged in to some sites. Others, I would
be logged in as long as I didn't close my IE browser window. I could go to a
bunch of other sites and when I clicked on myspace in my favorites, I would
go right to my page without having to enter my login or password. If I did
have to enter my login and passoword my login on myspace was always entered
for me. Now, pages like imdb.com make me login 3-4 times while I'm browsing
message boards. I have no idea what's going on. I emptied temp files and all
that and nothing has helped. It's really annoying and I know that there has
to be a fix somewhere. Could anyone try and help me? I have a cable modem
and windows xp.

How long do you generally go between having to log in?
Between log in requests is there any substantial period of inactivity
on your part?

No, there isn't. That's why it surprises me. I wonder if my updating IE had
something to do with it? I also used ccleaner because wehn I tried to clear
my autocomplete it just froze. I can now clear my autocomplete if I want.
Forums that I go to everyday would always keep me logged in. I always select
the remember me check box.
