Problem sharing internet connection.

I have a cable internet connection and am trying to share it between two PCs.
I have tried two separate routers and can not connect both computers at the
same time. One will connect but the other will have "limited or no
connectivity." My ISP allows sharing, but does not provide technical support
for it. I really don't know what else to try, can anyone here give me some
pointers? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of reasons why this may not be working. We could first look
at your physical setup (what is plugged into which?), and then look at the
router setup. However, lets try a quick-and-dirty first. What is the IP
address of the machine that has Internet connectivity? That might tell us
quite a bit about what isn't working.
