Loses Home Network but Maintains Internet Connection

I have two PCs. One runs Vista and the other XP Home.

They are connected to a wireless router.

I set up a network to share files and a printer and it works fine for a
short period of time before the network goes down. When the network goes
down, neither PC loses the internet connection, but the PCs can not see each
other.

When I reboot the XP the network returns... again... for a short period of
time.

The firewalls are disabled on both PCs.

Any help would be appreciated!

Check also any possible antivirus. Several now block the "NetBIOS
name resolution." These believe that this protocol is used by
Internet worm style viruses to infect other PCs. There is a
requirement to have this protocol for networks. To confirm this, you
might be able to see the other PCs by browsing with the IP address (\
\192.168.1.1) instead on the PC's name (\\Pc2)
