Problem selecting a newsgroup to enter

Hello.

IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 on Win XP Pro SP2.

When i vist these newsgroups, i have a hard time trying to enter them. If i
just click on the newsgroup once, i can see the progress bar move very slowly
until finally it i get "Sorry, the page you requested is not available".

What i have to do to get the newsgroup to display it's threads(and i don't
know how i discovered this), is to constantly click on the newsgroup i want
until it finally diaplys the threads. Tha'ts the only way i can do it.

Can anybody explain why that happens ?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

I suggest not even trying to read them in IE.

In Outlook Express go to Tools | Accounts | Add (or New) | News.
Set up an account for this news server:

msnews.microsoft.com

The server is free and does not require you to logon. This news server
carries over 2200 newsgroups related to Microsoft products and keeps
messages at least 30 days.

Hello Frank.

Thanks for your reply.

I have used Outlook Express and i liked it very much. The reason why i
don't use it anymore is that it does not allow you to select to be notified
by email.

I was asking in this newsgroup more for a way to fix my technical problem
with IE. I have other problems with IE, but i wanted to get that one fixed
first. Does everybody have this problem and they just don't compalin about
it ?

Thanks,
Tony
