problem in creating new internet connection

In windows xp, there are three options in creating a new internet connection
like 1) broadband which requires username and pwd(dial up) 2).. 3) Always
On... .Some virus in my PC has disabled the two radio buttons leaving me
with only one option: 3. always on. But i require a broadband with username
and pwd(i.e dial up option). there is no other problem on my PC. can someone
please tell me how to enable the other two radio buttons..there must be some
way. antivirus does not detect the virus.
i have windows XP professional with SP2 on AMD 32-bit processor. antivirus
is quickheal2009.

Broadband with a username/password is *not* dialup. There is a lot of
malware that won't be detected by an antivirus, although there is no
evidence from your post that your computer is infected. I don't know
anything about the Quickheal Antivirus, but you can make sure your computer
is really clean by following these steps:

Dial up is not broadband - broadband is always on .

Is your broadband DSL? PPPoE and PPPoA are the only ones I know of that
need to dial up. In both cases, that's usually done by software, so the
option you're needing might be handled by the modem/router, or modem.
In that case, that software might have disabled the options. It might
be wise to call your ISP and ask them how to straighten it out.
