Using wrong internet connection!

I am using Windows XP Professional and a broadband cablemodem for internet
service. When I click on the Internet Explorer button to open my browser it
uses my broadband connection. If I try to load something off of my Favorites
menu it want to open my AOL program and use there browser. How can I get it
to use only my broadband connection for browsing the internet?

If you don't use AOL, uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs. If you want
to keep AOL, set Internet Explorer to be the default browser.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. When you use AOL, does it try to dial a
connection through AOL as an Internet Service Provider? If so, navigate
to Internet Explorer Tools Internet options Connections and
select Never dial a connection. OK out.

in addition to ie
i also use netscape,

the method i use to
make life a bit easier
is to simply set netscape
to access aol mail.

works everytime and
no headaches between
the browsers.
