Printer que won't cancel

Hello group,

I often get documents that don't print for a variety of reasons. When I
reset the printer it prints a one line junk text page after page. When I try
to cancel the print
job it cancels all but the first one no matter how many times you cancel
them. Turning off the printer does not solve the problem. Restarting my
computer is the
only answer. This happens regardless of printer make or o/s. Any easy way
around this or is this any issue that has never been addressed? My
bidirectional box in
printer ports is unchecked.

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt
type without quotes "NET stop spooler" and press Enter
type "NET start spooler" and press Enter
