Preconfiguring Security Agents

Some of our security packages require that we add a batch
file to the "All Users" startup folder. This causes a
popup asking whether to allow the program. Obviously, we
don't want the user to click the disallow button.

Is there a way to pre-configure the Microsoft AntiSpyware
for this or any other program so the message box won't
come up in the first place.

thanks...keith cook

This beta really isn't appropriate in your environment.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892375 End users may be prompted to allow or
block administrative actions that originate from a central management tool
after they install Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) on a computer that is managed
by Systems Management Server 2003

I have seen some speculation that if you do a clean install of Microsoft
Antispyware, configure settings as you wish them to be, and make the change
to approve that script, you might catch the .GCD file that changes when that
approval is made (and perhaps others, with other configuration data) and
force those onto the workstations. I really don't recommend fooling with
such a kluge at this point.
