ppt2007 packaged for CD

I have prepared a ppt2007 presentation to be "viewed by user in a window".
Prior to packaging for CD, the show does view in a windows After packaging
for CD with ppt viewer, the show is full screen and, worse yet, there is a 5
minute time limit of inactivity after which it cycles back to slide
1--totally unacceptable.

I thought the time limit was a kiosk problem and that is the reason I chose
"shown in a window" in addition to the fact that I want the user to see the
show in window mode. Now it appears that it is a packaged for CD problem. Is
this correct or am I doing something wrong here? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Vic

Well, testing on my system with PPT 2007 and Vista, I opened an 18-slide
presentation I got from someone a few weeks ago. I went to Slide Show | Set
up Show and checked the Window option. Then I packaged for CD, saving to a
folder in Documents.

I went to the folder and double-clicked play.bat, which fired up the 2007
Viewer and the presentation. Yes, it's full-screen. I think that must be a
Viewer limitation in general. (FWIW, it does the same thing using 2003 to
create the presentation and package for CD with the 2003 Viewer.)

However, it doesn't reset for me. I hit the arrow key a few times and let it
sit on slide 3 for 7+ minutes (once I finally remembered to look at the
clock!) and it just stayed on slide 3 here.

You are right. I had two linked ppt presentations and one of them was still
set to kiosk and this is the one that was resetting after five minutes.
Thanks for making me look back.

I occured this problem before, but I also have another question. I
just see somebody create a presentation with music, and the lyrics
which he add is act in unison with the music, how can I set the
timing ? p.s. I use powerpoint 2007.
