PPT to Flash or web-based presentation: who's using what...?

Nolan Haims

So, I need to put up a narrated presentation onto the web and I'm looking at
all the many different options and reading all the reviews.

Flashpoint and Impacta seem to be leading the pack for me right now...

Anybody interested in sharing their experiences with various software. What
do people use on a regular basis that works for them?

I used this: http://www.onppt.com/ppt/article1018.html view the actual (sample)
PPT presentation of Michael Koerner for more details. Why people have to buy
extras' software's? PPT alone is a great products. You can still add Microsoft Producer
http://fdc.fullerton.edu/technology/producer/default.htm for FREE and
Capture Show add-in http://skp.mvps.org/cshow.htm BUT if you preferred to buy
look here: http://academictech.doit.wisc.edu/resources/products/pptoweb/5starnarr.htm

Hopes my information are useful ;o)

Options that I have used/investigated:

Articulate
Adobe Breeze Presenter
Microsoft Producer
PowerPoint Presentation Broadcast add-in

Articulate integrates with PPT, produces Flash output and very usefully
from my pov produces AICC,SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 compatible output.

Adobe Breeze is quite similar to Articulate but has an expensive almost
incomprehensible pricing model that ties it to a real time conferencing
product

Microsoft Producer is a free download from Microsoft that outputs
html/windows media but is most useful when post production is planned and
inclusion of all sorts of external elements (like video, html) are required
in the final production. Its output only works with IE on Windows though
(though lip service is paid to other browsers).

Presentation Broadcast is also a free download -- it allows for real time
broadcast and capture of a PowerPoint presentation (but use of the real
time broadcast is not necessary). It is most useful when real time capture
of the presentation is a necessity. Like Producer its output is only for IE
on Windows
