Web site using ppt 97

I have an older computer with 200MMX processor, 64MB RAM running Windows 95b (osr2) and have PPT 97 installed as part of Office 97 SR-2. I can not upgrade my PC now but wanted to create a Web site. Working with what I have, can I use PPT 97 to do an acceptable job for a basic web site (as indicated in Office 97 manual) or should I consider buying FrontPage 2000 that I see available on ebay. I have worked with Power Point 97 in the past to create basic sales presentations but that's about it. Finally, should I be concerned about security issues using PPT97 software. I would like to learn to make my own Web site but wonder if I would be better off waiting and going to a reputable service company later to have it done with the latest software. I realize my questions may be very elementary but this newbie would really appreciate the advice from those with experience in the field. Thanks, Frank

and then, check out

PowerPoint 97 can create web (ie, html) versions of your presentation, but
it's not really meant for creating an entire web site.

You can create individual pages in Word and save them as HTML to create
individual pages in your web site. That works out reasonably well, though
you'd have to do any site management (uploads, keeping track of what links
where, etc) yourself. That's where Front Page might come in handy.
