PPS or PPT with launch of PDF's

Paul

Hello folks!

Is it possible to create a PPT or preferably a self loading (autorun) CD
that allows a main menu/ or slide have buttons/links to PDF's or HTML's that
will allow the user to click on the button, text and automatically load the
pdf/html in a seperate window.

BTW if so, what versions of PPT will allow this ...and will I be able to
create a Pack & Go version.

Using PPt 2002 + Powerpoint XP on different machines.

Thanks in advance

Hello folks!

PowerPoint 2003 is kind of a nuisance in this regard, as is the new Viewer, in
that both will toss messageboxes in your face when you try to link to an
external file this way. If it's to be shown on your own computer, there's
probably a way around it. If on other computers, then no.

Older versions of PPT and the Viewer might be a better choice in this
situation.

Or for that matter, HTML generated from PPT. If PPT itself won't make HTML
that opens links in another window, see http://www.rdpslides.com/ppt2html/ for
a (commercial) tool that will.
